Redfrost managed the preparation of the successful Expression of Interest and grant submissions under the Unite and Recover Community Stimulus Package and Works for Queensland funding programs. Funding was received for a major upgrade to the Lake Moogerah Caravan Park which included upgraded electrical, water supply and effluent systems, water treatment plant as well as the construction of accessible and modern amenities and camp kitchen facilities. This upgrade won the IPWEA-QNT 2023 Environment & Sustainability Award.
Utilities construction works included the installation of underground electrical lines and associated distribution boards, new clean water and effluent piping networks, the installation and commissioning of a water treatment plant as well as an effluent storage and pump out facility. An existing amenities block was also demolished and replaced with upgraded facilities incorporating a larger amenities building and camp kitchen complete with fridges, microwaves and barbeques. This included concrete foundations, slab and path construction, blockwork walls, structural steel, roofing, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping.
Redfrost were awarded the project management of the design and construction phases, including design management, construction procurement involving tender preparation, review and evaluation of submissions and award through to contract administration, reporting and claims.
